Custom Rosedale Unfurnished Interior

I love to see dollhouses filled with furniture because that's truly what makes a house a home, even in miniature.  But I also love to look at an empty house when you can see all the lines and features of the architectural design.  To me there's a great deal of beauty in just the house itself.  Here's the Rosedale in all her naked glory!

It's never easy to get a picture of a dollhouse all lit up in the dark but I always try because I think it's so beautiful.  In this case, the rose colored lights in the bedroom and sitting room were especially gorgeous in the dark. 

The curtains and drapes are installed in the windows before I even assemble the house so the window treatments are in place along with the built in fireplaces and the stove. 

This is one of my favorite views....looking down the stairs from the bedroom to the living room landing.  There's a gorgeous wall sconce with crystal prisms that mesmerized me.

The ceiling medallion in the sitting room was another fascinating part of the architecture.  It's all wood but I painted it lilac and then gave it a rubbing with a pearly gold paint.  With the rose colored light fixture, it was just gorgeous!
