Maharet's Bed

I've been making miniature dressed beds for quite some time now, and it had never really occurred to me that my very first dollhouse, the residence of Maharet the Witch, didn't really have a dressed bed.  The bed I bought for that house was one of my very first miniature purchases.......a brass double bed that is eerily similar to my own real life brass bed.  However, beyond covering the mattress with champagne satin, tossing a crocheted throw over it, and making a couple of silk ribbon embroidered pillows, I'd never really done much with it.

As I was walking past Maharet's house last night, I heard a voice say, "Hey!  Bed lady!!  You've been making all those gorgeous beds and yet your favorite witch is still sleeping on a bed that's not up to standard.  Are you going to fix this or do I need to get my flying monkeys?"  Well, in light of that conversation, I immediately apologized profusely to Maharet and carried the bed down to the studio to be dressed.  Her parting words were, "It better be white!!".   A little white velour that looks like fur in 1:12 scale.....some silk pillows embellished with a trim of white chiffon entwined with pink roses and here's what we've got:
