The Lady Pierce

The Pierce is my favorite house of all. It's not that I don't love all my houses, but the Pierce is the one I chose first as my dream house when I started down the road of miniatures. The Pierce took six weeks to build and I fell in love with her a little more every day. She's not the best example of my work because I was such a novice and hadn't learned all the tricks of my trade yet and sometimes I think about rehabbing her to give her a bit more polish, but each time I look at her it makes me remember how I felt as a newbie discovering the joy of miniatures and decide that I wouldn't change a thing about her.  (Well, except the furnishings but we'll get to that in a few minutes.)

I built the Pierce by the book for the most part, but I did do a little bit of my first bash on this house. The stairs are an add-in and so is the door to the kitchen--not much of a change, but for a newbie, it made me realize that the most important thing of all......"My house, my rules".  Dollhouses are meant to be dreams come true and we can do anything we like to them to customize that dream.  That's one of the reasons I've always built Greenleaf houses.  They're designed to make customization easy so every mini home owner can have their own personal dream.

The Interior

It's funny how our dollhouses evolve and after I redecorated the interior I thought about taking these early pictures down but then decided to leave them.  These were the first minis I bought (as well as the first bed I ever dressed).  The dolls were an impulse buy from Victorian Trading Company and I dubbed them "the four sisters".  It turns out that they also had other things in mind and moved onto the Willowcrest with a backstory of their own, leaving the Pierce vacant until my witch saw the new Bespaq being moved in and took up residence.  So follow along the interior design journey as we begin with the original decor.

A lot has changed at Lady Pierce Manor and you don't want to miss a thing as she upgrades her decor to Bespaq and adds some gorgeous custom needlework in the bedroom.  Even the attic has changed so much you won't recognize it.  Maharet (my redheaded witch) has done a lot with the place and you won't want to miss out on some really gorgeous eye candy!
